BOCC committee assignments

December 21, 2018 – The Flagler County Board of County Commissioners have selected committee assignments for the new year, and are ready to get to work.

Committee assignments to these important boards provide Flagler County commissioners with community input, expertise, and diverse viewpoints that help the Board of County Commissioners make informed decisions.

Flagler County’s newest commissioner, Joe Mullins, will serve on the following committees: Affordable Housing Advisory Committee; Flagler County Chamber of Commerce and Affiliates: Northeast Florida Regional Council; Public Safety Coordinating Council; Small County Coalition; Workforce Development Board of Flagler and Volusia County; and, as an alternate on the River to Sea Transportation Planning Organization.

“I am very excited about these committee assignments,” Mullins said. “I am ready to get to work for the residents of Flagler County.”

Chair Donald O’Brien will serve on the following committees: Early Learning Coalition of Flagler and Volusia County; Economic Opportunity Advisory Council; River to Sea Transportation Planning Organization; School Planning Oversight Committee; and, Value Adjustment Board.

Vice Chair David Sullivan will serve as the delegate to the Canvassing Board, and will serve on four committees including the Heritage Crossroads: Miles of History Heritage Highway; Library Board of Trustees; Northeast Florida Regional Council; Small County Coalition; and, Value Adjustment Board.

Commissioner Greg Hansen will serve on the following committees: Friends of A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byways Group; A1A Scenic Pride; Artificial Reef Technical Advisory Committee; Tourist Development Council; Town of Marineland CRA Board; and, as an alternate on the Canvassing Board.

Commissioner Charlie Ericksen selected seven committee assignments for 2019.

“I’m proud to work on the Family Life Center committee. It’s very enjoyable for me to help women and children in need,” Ericksen said. “I feel the same way about the work we do on behalf of the Carver Center. It is all about helping people.”

Ericksen will serve on the following committees: Circuit 7 Juvenile Justice Advisory Board; Family Life Center; Flagler County Department of Juvenile Justice Council; George Washington Carver Center Governance Board; Management Advisory Group for GTMNERR; School Planning Oversight Committee; and, Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board.
