Interlibrary Loan

Library Cardholders may use the services of the Interlibrary Loan Department (ILL) to obtain items from other libraries lending collections that are not part of the Flagler County Public Library’s lending collection.

There are two (2) ways to request an ILL and there is a $2 non-refundable processing fee per item requested.

  1. Visit the library, fill out an Interlibrary Loan Request form for the item you are requesting and pay the $2.00/item fee.  These forms are available at the Customer Service desk.

  1. **NEW** Florida Library Information Network (FLIN) SHAREit: Open the website to request the item.  Login at the top of the website with your Library Card # and Pin #.  The Pin # is the last four digits of the phone number that we have on file for the library card account.  Then, search for the item you’re looking for and select the “Request Hand” to request it.  The $2.00/item fee is due upon receipt of item.

Items published within the last six (6) months, DVD’s, CD’s, or other audio-visual materials cannot be borrowed from other libraries. Customers will be notified when items have arrived and are ready for pickup.  Items are held for three (3) days unless other arrangements are made with the Interlibrary Loan Department.

Although there is a nearly 100% fill rate, there is no guarantee that we will be able to borrow every item requested.  Lost or damaged items are the responsibility of the cardholder.  Replacement costs, as well as any other fees as established by the lending library, will be assessed to the cardholder account and borrowing privileges will be suspended until paid.
