Organizational Chart

The Board of County Commissioners is at the top of the Flagler County organizational chart. The five-member elected board is responsible for hiring two employees: the County Administrator and the County Attorney.

Flagler County's Administration Department directs all county operations, and acts as a liaison between staff and the Board of County Commissioners. County Administrator Craig Coffey provides for the implementation of the policies and objectives formulated by the County Commission.

The Flagler County Attorney's Office provides the fullest legal protection for Flagler County through representation of the county in court proceedings, both as plaintiff and defendant, to ensure aggressive prosecution or defense of the county’s legal rights. It offers legal advice and representation to the Board of County Commissioners, appointed boards, councils and committees, and is available to all Constitutional Officers for assistance when requested.
